Welcome to ModeDo (“ModeDo,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use the ModeDo mobile application and related services.

2. Information We Collect

a. Account & Usage Data

Depending on your plan and features used, we may collect:

  • Tasks, task titles, descriptions, priorities, and related metadata
  • Tabs, categories, preferences, and app settings
  • Usage data such as feature interactions and error logs

b. Free vs Pro Users

Free users: Data is primarily stored locally on your device. Limited anonymized usage metrics may be collected to improve performance and reliability.

Pro users: Task data and settings are synced to our secure backend servers to enable cross-device access and backup.

3. AI Features & Data Processing

ModeDo offers optional features powered by Artificial Intelligence (“AI Features”).

When you use AI Features:

  • Text you submit (such as task titles or descriptions) is sent to third-party AI providers for processing.
  • This data is used only to generate the requested output.
  • We do not intentionally send sensitive personal information.

⚠️ Important:

Please do not include sensitive information such as:

  • Passwords or PINs
  • Bank or credit card details
  • API keys or secrets
  • Private medical or legal information

We cannot guarantee the privacy or security of sensitive data submitted to AI features.

4. How We Use Your Data

We use your information to:

  • Provide core app functionality
  • Enable AI-powered features when requested
  • Sync data across devices (Pro users)
  • Improve performance, stability, and user experience
  • Comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your personal data.

5. Data Sharing & Third Parties

We may share limited data with trusted third parties only as necessary to operate the service, including:

  • AI providers for AI feature processing
  • Cloud infrastructure providers for data storage and hosting
  • Payment processors (Apple, Google, Stripe) for subscriptions
  • Analytics services (Mixpanel) for pseudonymous product usage tracking

These providers are contractually obligated to protect your data.

6. Analytics & Product Usage Tracking

ModeDo uses Mixpanel, a product analytics service, to understand how users interact with the app and to improve functionality, stability, and user experience.

Mixpanel may automatically collect certain technical and usage information, including:

  • Device type and operating system
  • App version
  • Anonymous or pseudonymous device identifiers
  • IP address (used only to estimate general geographic region such as country or city)
  • In-app interactions such as screens viewed, session activity, and feature usage

ModeDo does not send the following information to Mixpanel:

  • Task titles or descriptions
  • AI prompts or generated content
  • Email addresses
  • Names or profile information
  • Payment details or receipts
  • Firebase user identifiers

Analytics data is collected in a pseudonymous manner and is used solely to:

  • Improve product performance
  • Identify feature usage trends
  • Diagnose technical issues
  • Optimize subscription and paywall flows

Users may disable analytics tracking at any time within the app by enabling the "Disable Analytics" setting. When analytics is disabled, Mixpanel tracking is stopped and no further events are transmitted from the device.

We retain personal data only for as long as necessary to:

  • Provide the service
  • Fulfill legal obligations

However, no system is completely secure. Use of the App is at your own risk.
